When driving a rental car, there is a question that looms in the mind of the renter. One of those questions is, “What happens if I get a ticket?” That is a very good question because the car is not in the renter’s name. The car is in the name of the rental car company. This means things can get a bit complicated, depending on the company that you’re using. Sure, it is simple to say that you just shouldn’t do anything to get a ticket. However, it isn’t always that easy.

As a licensed motorist in my state I am required to obtain and pay for car insurance on a regular basis. I suppose the payment for such services is the first of the pitfalls of car insurance. As you may have already experienced, car insurance can be quite expensive. Believe me, with the accidents my children have had, I know.

Another problem is that of privacy. Once you give your insurer your name and personal information, they often turn around and sell it to others. You probably get telemarketers calling repeatedly and your mailbox is full of junk mail and special offers.

After his victory over the Pharnaces in 47 BC, Julius Caesar addressed his Senate and spoke the famous lines, “Veni, vidi, vici” - “I came, I saw, I conquered.” Today, over 2000 years later, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) might say the same of every racing venue it has entered.

Here’s a quick look at the numbers for the new Toyota Tundra supercharger from TRD: it adds 504 HP and 550 lb-ft of torque; sells as a complete kit for $5 875; and costs about $6 800 total when installation is figured in, based on a labor rate of $105/hr.

When acquiring an auto insurance quote online, many individuals are concerned about giving out their personal data. This fear exists because they do not want that data to be used for purposes other than that of an auto insurance quote. That is a reasonable fear in the day and age when some companies collect a person’s information with the intention of selling it to a third party. However, not all companies do such a malicious task, but some may feel that there is no need to have to provide their personal information for something as simple as an auto insurance quote.

New vehicle owners often wonder if they should be using synthetic oil. There are many advantages synthetic oil has over regular oil: it lubricates more effectively; withstands high temperatures; is relatively pure; and usually won’t turn into sludge even with heavy abuse. These clear benefits cause many people to assume synthetic oil is the obvious best choice. However, much of it comes down to how well you take care of your vehicle.

Gas prices have skyrocketed over the last year. In fact, they have more than doubled in just the last two decades and that has caused a real strain on most American families. A recent poll conducted by the Associated Press found that about 90% of respondents said the high gas prices were causing them financial difficulties.

Why do so many people continue to doubt the effectiveness of this alternative? Well, there are a few reasons.

For die-hard fans of off-road racing, the word “Ironman” doesn’t conjure images of Robert Downey, Jr in a tight metal suit, or Stan Lee, who created the Ironman comic series. They’ll think of Ivan Stewart, whose legendary career has earned him the nickname of “Ironman.”

Stewart’s first big break was at the 1973 Ensenada 300. His co-driver broke his leg before the race, so Stewart found mechanic Earl Stah to drive shotgun, and powered through 300 miles of rough terrain in the Class 2 buggy to win the race.
