Acura is renowned for its reputation in setting and maintaining high standards in the automotive industry. And true to its avowed commitment come the Acura range of cars. A Japanese Honda look alike but manufactured partly or wholly in America is the Acura range of cars. The collection boasts five models each one as bold, precision built and meant to impart an heady ride as the other. Each of the models is also pricier than the other starting from the humblest TSX followed by the RDX, the TL, the MDX and the RL in that order. The TL and the RDX are wholly assembled in Marysville Ohio with the engine of the MDX put together again in Ohio at Anna. The MDX has a Canadian taste as it is built in Alliston, Ontario.

As a standard fixture, all the standard cars in the Acura Range, come fitted with a Automatic 5 Speed, Sequential Sport Shift, Shift and Grade Logic Controls to instill confidence in the driver by giving him unequivocal and total control over the car while traversing any type of terrain, be it plain, uphill or downhill. Optionally, this basic configuration can be converted either to the 5 Speed Manual or the 6 Speed Auto or the 6 Speed Manual. Paddle Shifters are provided with the manual models.

In the transmission arena, all the standard cars in the series sport Automatic 5 speed Sequential Sport Shift, Shift and Grade Logic Controls to ensure that the driver is in full control while traversing either plain, uphill or downhill terrains. The option for converting this basic configuration to either the 5 Speed Manual or to the 6 Speed Auto or Manual is also available. The manual mode comes with Paddle Shifters.

Acura keeps you safe in an otherwise unsafe world. Though safe driving to the best bet to avoid accidents, additional cutting edge technology incorporated in a car to provide protection is always welcome and the Acura’s safety features can be said to meet such expectations and are simply exceptional. Comfort has not been given a back seat in the Acura and all of them have very comfortable driver and passenger seats. Ergonomically finished Dashboards facilitate easy monitoring of the vehicle’s performance. Both simple and advanced GPS linked Climate Control Systems are offered depending upon the model chosen. The interiors are aesthetic a and easy on the eye.

Not to be outdone, the in-car entertainment and communication departments leave practically nothing to be desired and all the audio systems provided deliver an exceptional aural experience which is better heard than read about to be convinced. The standard music system is the Acura 360-watt Premium Sound System with AM/FM & XM Satellite Radio, 6-disc in-dash CD changer and 8 speakers.

The offered communication apparatus is the Bluetooth HandsFreeLink wireless telephone interface with phonebook exchange in all the vehicles except the TSX. The Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition and the AcuraLinkTM Satellite Communication are optional devices.

Acura Keychains are finely machined, perfectly balanced and chrome plated to a liquid appearance. The image is permanently “LASER” burned on the metal.
