As you go about your daily life, you cannot help but notice how high gas prices have gotten over the last few years. In some areas they are nearing $5.00 a gallon, and filling your entire tank can cost almost $100 or more.

The public has begun demanding that more research be conducted on alternative energy sources so that a new form of energy can be used to help reduce the price of gasoline. But despite the urgent need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil as well as reduce gas costs, it does not appear that there has been much movement in alternative energy research. Fortunately, there are a few methods that any individual can employ if they hope to improve their gas mileage that utilize a technology that hasn’t even been perfected yet.

Recently there have been a few news articles and commercials about Hydrogen powered cars, but they do not appear to carry much weight. Car companies and oil industries have not bothered to thoroughly investigate the idea because at the moment the cost of generating hydrogen is simply too significant.

But that does not mean that you cannot run your car on water. On the contrary, there are already systems in place that allow you use to decrease your gas consumption and save thousands of dollars at the gas pump.

Known as a “water powered engine” there is a way to create a hybrid car out of your old automobile that will allow you to turn any car you own into one that runs on water. With this system, you attach a very simple machine (that you can build yourself) to your engine that can triple its MPG rating and considerably reduce your gas usage.

Using a piece of hydrogen that has been taken out of simple tap water, your engine burns that hydrogen as though it is also a form of gas, thus allowing you to get many more miles out of a single fill up. This allows you to not only save thousands of dollars, but also improve your engine health.

People throw around words like “conspiracy” all the time. The truth is, we may never know why this isn’t making more national news. It has made a few local TV stations, but beyond that it has not let its presence be known. It makes very little sense that the world would want to keep a way to run your car on water a secret from the community.

While it is possible that oil companies are keeping this research muzzled, or perhaps car companies are keeping this information a secret for their own personal use, it may just be a general disbelief that relief from gas prices can so easily be fixed using household objects. Whatever the reason, expect the news to hit the mainstream media soon. Relief from high gas prices cannot be hidden from the public forever.
