Did you ever play MASH as a kid? Or maybe you still play it. I don’t know. I always liked finding out who I was supposed to marry the most Then after that my favorite part was to watch whether the M, the A, the S or the H got circled at the very top designating mansion, apartment, shack or house.

But right up there at the top of the list of fun MASH divinations was what car I would be driving once I was all “grown up.” I had no idea what kind of car I might like to drive (I was only 8, maybe 9) but I gave it my best shot when I was asked to create the initial list. It usually looked something like this:

1. Porsche

2. Lamborghini

3. Pick up

4. Convertible

Chuckle if you’d like, but it was really the best I could do at the time. It’s been years since then and my likes and dislikes when it comes to vehicles have evolved. I’m wondering now why my little 8 year old self was so deprived when it came to knowledge of Hyundais! They’ve got something for every mood, for every lifestyle, for every day of the week, basically. The Accent is the perfect entry level car starting under $11,000; which is shocking in itself. The Hyundai Elantra offers a little bit more as a Partial Zero Emission Vehicle in green states and a “class above” interior, roomier than the competition!

The Sonata comes with a “large car” EPA classification as well as several very popular safety elements as standard features. The Azera is the two time winner of the J. D. Power and Assoc. APEAL study. The Tucson offers crossover opportunities combining smooth ride elements with the extra possibilities of an SUV. The Santa Fe is a “Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Entourage is another “Top Safety Pick” and offers the traditional mini-van design with all the modern conveniences. The Veracruz offers a standard Hyundai Hideaway third row seat! And then there’s the Tiburon offering sport tuned suspension (and looking fabulous on or off the road).

So the next time anyone ropes me into playing that old game we all know and love called MASH. I am definitely going to have a better idea of just what vehicles to put down on my option list No bug for me, please. And a Lamborghini? I can’t even imagine myself in one; it would be a bit silly. The pick up isn’t that outlandish, but we’re talking about dream vehicles here…and the convertible? I might leave that one just for old time’s sake!
