Why is it so difficult to compare the various contract hire deals on offer? One reason is that some contract hire brokers would rather you didn’t make a direct comparison, because their rates are rather expensive. In any event rates do vary from one lender to the next, because they tend to take differing views on the vehicle’s residual value (What they believe, or you could say hope, the vehicle is going to worth when you return it to them).

Did you ever play MASH as a kid? Or maybe you still play it. I don’t know. I always liked finding out who I was supposed to marry the most Then after that my favorite part was to watch whether the M, the A, the S or the H got circled at the very top designating mansion, apartment, shack or house.

Special ordering a new car is supposed to mean that you get exactly what you want, usually within a couple of months. If you look back at the history of car manufacturing, you can read about several instances of people ordering very specific cars directly from the factory. Today it’s not that simple. Here’s what you should know.

You should know that you probably won’t be able to order a new vehicle during the last two or three months of the production year (those months usually fall between April and August). Although it does depend on the model and manufacturer of the vehicle, most production years usually end in the last few months of summer. Don’t plan to special order a new car during this time.
